Maureen was a new patient to the Medi Tresse office. She was concerned about her hair loss that was quickly increasing and started two years ago.
Previously, Maureen tried Minoxidil for about 9-10 months and felt as though it did not yield the results she wanted with her hair loss. Minoxidil is a topical formula to help promote hair growth, and most commonly known for assisting with the effects of androgenetic alopecia, or Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL). She also tried Nutrafol, which is a hair growth supplement brand for men and women.
Maureen came to Medi Tresse seeking a solution to stop her hair from falling out and be able to regrow it. She booked her initial consultation and was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia, which is also known as Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL).
With all of our treatments, we have three main goals: stop further loss, make the hair you have thicker, healthier, and if possible regrow hair. We like to remind all of our patients that attaining any of these goals is a success.
Maureen and the Medi Tresse team decided that the best treatment plan for her would be three treatments of Optimal Platelet Concentration™ Therapy. Medi Tresse is one of the first hair loss clinics in the country to be able to provide this unique hair restoration treatment to their patients.
Exclusively offered by Medi Tresse, this Optimal Platelet Concentration™ Therapy gives the Medi Tresse team the ability to personalize treatment by providing an optimal number of platelets into the scalp to support blood vessels and hair restoration. Like PRP Therapy, this procedure relies on platelet-rich plasma to fight hair loss.
Optimal Platelet Concentration™ Therapy involves gathering initial bloodwork from a patient to be able to determine the baseline platelet count. After being spun in a centrifuge, the separated platelets are then counted and confirmed to ensure that they are at the optimal level for the patient’s individual treatment. Lastly, the platelets are optimized and injected into the thinning hair to stimulate regrowth.
Optimal Platelet Concentration™ Therapy is available at the following Medi Tresse locations: Boston, Worcester, Westchester, New York City offices, and available soon at the Chattanooga office.
Maureen had three treatments of Optimal Platelet Concentration™ Therapy at the Medi Tresse office. All three treatments were four weeks apart and over the course of the eight weeks, she has seen significant hair regrowth results.
Maureen is happy with the current 8-month results and will be continuing the treatment plan. As a part of her treatment plan, Maureen will continue to do booster treatments every 6 months to maintain the results.
